Little Light House: Tulsa’s Beacon of Hope for Children with Special Needs

In the latest episode of Tulsa Looks Good on You, Jennie Wolek of The Wolek Group sits down with Molly Smith, Executive Director of Little Light House, to share the heart behind this incredible nonprofit.

Founded in 1972 by two moms, Little Light House provides tuition-free early intervention services to children with special needs, ages birth to six. With a team of therapists, specialists, and educators working together, children are empowered to achieve milestones many thought impossible.

“We never say never,” says Molly. “Our kids are walking, talking, and thriving thanks to early intervention and community support.”

More Than a Preschool

Little Light House offers both a Developmental Center and Family Learning Center, serving children on-site and helping parents support their kids at home. Despite having over 500 children on the waitlist, the team continues to grow—now expanding into Oklahoma City with a new branch launching soon.

How You Can Help

As a nonprofit, Little Light House relies on volunteers and donations to continue its life-changing work. From classroom helpers to corporate workdays, there are many ways to get involved. Monthly community luncheons also offer a fun, no-pressure way to learn more.

“We’ve stayed debt-free and tuition-free for over 50 years because of Tulsa’s generosity,” Molly shares.
